“a little peek into the sketchy dudes who live in my head : D”
I was teaching art app last week and we were talking about Judy “Chicago and her amazing dinner table installation. Made me think that we all want to be invited to the table. Perhaps each of us has a different table we want to be part of or if you are feeling really saucy you might set your own table and invite others to come on by. sometimes you just want to eat alone and only invite your own thoughts and the creatures that live in them.
I have bellied up to a lot of tables lately and in the past and some I liked, some didn’t sit well and some I would love to eat at again, and some I long for but don’t have time to sit down at. Right now trying to figure out how many tables I want to be invited to and how many times a week I truly want to “eat” out lol. Well I suppose trying out the food at the blog table.
I am sure many feel this way. As a mom/ friend/ part time worker/teacher/gallery director/partner to my favorite guy/dog mom/house cleaner&laundry mistress (although not very great on this one lol) /volunteer coordinator/& artist, dipping into different areas sometimes the “table” choices get a little overwhelming! Like choosing a movie on streaming services, it can take awhile to find one everyone wants to watch.
Okay so a bit esoteric it a journey nonetheless less. Although I would prefer a journey that involves actual travel to exotic places, but for now a journey through the everyday, but Not the twilight zone. Well today Sunday electing to have amnesia for the day and do what I would do if I had unlimited time and funds and chill!
